Sometimes I feel lost.
Is there an actual point to life? Society nurtures us to conform to its laws, needs, values, vision and every other desire of man kind. Then what?
Human beings are not made perfect, yet, we are told to follow another human beings ways. Why is it olders in our lives want us to be like other imperfect human beings? Well its obvious, because of their good traits. But what about their imperfections?
I think I’m more than warranted to suggest that by idolising something that is imperfect, we ourselves will start to think this is ok. I’m not even saying this is totally negative, as a lot of inspiration is gained from other sources in our lives.
But, I get stuck when I think… Why doesn’t society remind us that ‘we are human beings, the people behind newspapers are human beings, the crew behind your favourite movie are human, the ex that cheated on you is a human being’…
Is it right to look to man made creations for perfect pleasure, perfect happiness, perfect ways to live and every other answer our soul desires?
This is why sometimes, I feel lost.
So my question to you is, do you feel good knowing you are being moulded into someone who is made to conform to a society that is broken?
Personally, I don’t feel comfortable knowing that imperfections in society are camouflaged from us, why can’t the world leaders tell us the truth, that they don’t know everything, why don’t reality tv shows let us know that it’s not all as glamorous as it seems on Tv…
I’ll leave it there for now, but look out for a part 2.
